Ulla Schildt, f. 1971. Utdannet ved Dublin Institute of Technology i Irland, og Aalto-universitetet i Espoo i Finland. Bor og arbeider i Oslo.

Ulla Schildt er en billedkunstner som hovedsakelig jobber med analogt og digitalt fotografi. De siste årene har verkene hennes utforsket menneskets behov for å samle og organisere, for derigjennom å mestre verden. I tidligere prosjektet har hun rettet søkelys mot spesifikke geografiske områder, særlig på den nordlige halvkule, som blir stadig viktigere geopolitisk som følge av klimakrisen.

 

Ulla Schildt, b. 1971. Studied at the Dublin Institute of Technology, Ireland, and the Aalto University in Espoo, Finland. Lives and works in Oslo.

Schildt is a visual artist primarily working with analog and digital photography. In recent years, her works have been centered around the human need to gather and organize our surroundings to master the world. Previously, Schildt has explored specific geographical areas, especially in the norther hemisphere, that has become increasingly important geopolitically important due to the climate crisis.

At The Spring Exhibition 2022, Schildt is exhibiting a selection of photographs, continuing her exploration of human behavior and its impact on the planet’s well-being. The work All the Happy Endings explore questions around the psychological understanding of nature that we carry within us and the current state of rapid ecological change, thematizing the changing conception of nature stemming from this crisis.
